Mon-Duro Tawang is an Enduro Biking event, which is conducted every year in the month of November at Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. “Mon” stands for Monpas. This event will give birth to a whole new experience of mountain biking wherein the riders will be riding down virgin trails along with the Rhododendron trees and lush green meadows. Every trail has a long lost history buried underneath the lapse of time.

This edition's theme is dedicated to the elusive  Snow Leopard, also known as the 'Ghost of the Mountains'.

Renowned for its stunning beauty, agility, and remarkable adaptability, the snow leopard holds a special place in both our natural world and the cultural heritage of the Mon Valley. Fables of this beast have been passed down many generations in Tawang until it was actually spotted in an area close to the 'Thankaphey Trails' (Mounduro Day 2) by the WWF and the Department of Forest Tawang, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh.
Agility, adaptability, speed, and the ability to thrive in the harshest of environments are common traits that Enduro riders share with the Ghost of the Mountain.

We can draw similarities in the way the Ghost leaps across the rocky slopes of Tawang and the riders sending it down the gnarly Monduro trails.

By valuing, sharing knowledge, and taking efforts in our own ways to protect the Snow Leopard, we all should try to secure a future for one of nature's most remarkable creations and safeguard the delicate balance of our planet's diverse ecosystems. Let us strive to ensure that the "Ghost of the Mountains" continues to roam its wild domains, inspiring generations to cherish and protect our natural heritage.
